Welcome

We would like to thank those who donate paint, construction materials, time and properties for use in our Community Development Program.

We could not continue this program without their generosity.

Here, John Herman our Executive Director, proudly displays miss-tinted paint which was donated by a Sherwin Williams store.

European American Association, located in the West Town area of Chicago, IL, is a not-for-profit organization, established in 1991 and obtaining 501(c)(3) status the following year .

Mr. John Herman the Executive Director of European American Association (EAA), was born and raised in Romania.  The challenges faced by him as a limited English speaking person in his new homeland inspired a desire to ease the transition for other European Americans unfamiliar with their new country and motivated him to start an organization to help them during this difficult period.  After a short time working as a not-for-profit and seeing the need in this mixed cultural community the purpose of EAA greatly broadened.

Today we strive to maintain a consistent standard of excellence in serving all low to moderate income individuals and families of any age, nationality and gender by assisting them with their immediate requirements, encouraging self help when possible and offering moral support when ever needed.

Our Mission

To provide programs that will assist those in need

while encouraging an independent vision.

To promote neighborhood pride

through renovation and community involvement.

To offer encouragement for all those in the community

through a positive presence.
